Please be my guest to view some very special whittlings, mostly in bas relief, created between the late 1920’s through the 1950’s. Out of the public view for over 44 years and perhaps totally unknown to the folk art community, Mr. Chabot’s works are a one man exhibition in the skillful art of whittling and woodcraft imagery. His colorful background and worldly experiences, while traveling on African and Indian expeditions for the Museum of Natural History, is reflected in his folk art and seem to have been chronicled in many of his pieces.
